It loses a little of it subtlety when he adds the fusion/fission secondary….
There is hideous art put in public spaces, but doesn’t mean mobs should tear them down or destroy any public property. But there is no reason politicians shouldn’t listen to protesters who object to some piece of art in public area.
Or only excuse for protester damaging some statue, would related to the failure of the politicians of respecting the political speak of the people protesting.
Or would say any tearing of any statue, is unrelated to whatever the statue was, and is all about the political leadership failing to address the public’s concern as evidenced by people protesting.
But if protester fail to have or deliver their message in any coherence fashion- which can be reasonably expected to be understood. then fault lies with protesters AND the politicans which failing to govern.
Generally, I would assume most public statutes and all art that done for governments, tend to be the direction of being inferior art.
Nobody is paying ad $ to cable news networks to watch a crane lift a statue off a pedestal and place it gently on a flatbed truck to be hauled away because the city council decided it needed to be removed.
On the other hand, vigilantes toppling statues that have been spray painted with obscenities, set ablaze with crowds of cheering, torch bearing “protestors” well, now that sells ads by drawing viewers. Doesn’t matter what the statue represents. In one case in Portlandia, it was a deer over a fountain I watched being destroyed on cable news. Must have been an affront to all vegetarian gardeners.
Sorry an elk. Must have been destroyed for culturally appropriating the indigenous mule deer. My bad….
There was a part where he said that they often include the portion of Trump’s speech that debunks their claim but that it doesn’t matter, like they didn’t even watch it. I’ve noticed the same thing with the Democrat’s propaganda accounts on twitter that are promoting the riots. They make claims never backed up by their video clips but use sensational language so that your imagination fills in the rest.
