How will the word get down to the cells to knock it off for a while? And will they follow their cell leader’s orders? We’re gonna find out how “anarchist” they really are.
If they do suddenly stop rioting, then that should be taken as evidence that they do have leaders, and can follow orders if necessary. Finding who issued the orders should be where law-enforcement ought to concentrate. And how many of those people are friends of, or at least in communications with, various the mayors and governors?
If they don’t, then, a this guy points out, what good are the governors and mayors and such “negotiating” these “cease-fires”? They just look even more ineffective and ineffectual and incompetent. And the Democrats in general will get to own what happens next. And, like Minneapolis, they will try to get the rest of us to pay for it.
They are human, so they have leaders and group affiliation.

Honestly and to-the-point I don’t think we need smoldering federal courthouses, office buildings and post offices to prove out that point. And as federal buildings, we all are on the hook to replace them.
When the (participatory) trophy mayor of Portland tried to join the “protestors” we all saw what happened.
Yeah. And now we have a van in Seattle where the unofficial Biden Campaign was handing out IEDs, tasers, bear spray, and other peaceful, non-violent weaponry.
Who’s paying for all this? Are they really using stimulus checks for this stuff? If not, is it mommy and daddy? Or the trust fund?
I figure the leadership’s goal is to get this stuff in the hands of LARPers with the expectation that eventually one or more of them will do something stupid and give them their “Kent State” martyrs. Unfortunately, they are probably also putting a pistol into the hands of Gavrilo Princip.
Seems to me that you have both a state and city government openly backing the insurrectionists against the US government. That’s rather – familiar.
Now what happened the last time we had a presidential election while some states were in open revolt against the US government? 1864, to be exact. Their electoral votes didn’t get counted. Perhaps a useful precedent?
