I feel Andrew Ferguson’s pleasure. Life has changed very little for me, other than having Patricia home every day, instead of just weekends (which was going to happen anyway, with her retirement).
Unlike him, though, I do have to confess to enjoying hugs from attractive women.
The last month for me has been pretty normal, too. The problem is that I was planning to do some introverted travel starting in May, but places like National Parks are closed due to the Wuhan Bat Cootie panic. Not surprising, because in my experience NPS management’s first solution for any problem is to restrict access by “the people.”
Maybe this’ll get NPS to finally automate their entrance station traffic jams. Do that and I’d never have to deal with any person.
No reason a toll-road style “ParkPass” wouldn’t work at the gates of Yellowstone or Arches or the other big busy parks. Especially for those of us who’ve already bought the lifetime geezer pass.
In Feb I used the Visitor Toll Pass pilot program out of Orlando when I had to visit Florida for a week. Worked great. I see that they’ve suspended it, so instead people have to deal with cash at toll booths. Stupid.
