A good many years ago, I lived in an area where a program of cloud seeding was undertaken to try to prevent hail damage to the malting barley crop. I never heard if they thought that it actually helped, let alone could show evidence. When some people got the idea that it was diverting the damage their way, it ended with dynamiting the Doppler radar that was being used to direct the planes.
I’m so glad we have spent millions on climate models that can accurately predict hurricane tracks down to 2 to 1.5 degrees of direction.
