Hey, stupid conservatives, I was just kidding. Why can’t you take a joke?

Clown nose on, got it.
Now I have Weird Al stuck in my head.
“I can’t believe you fell for that; you’re so gullible!”
I like how she says that conservatives treat sarcasm seriously and fact-check it, when that’s literally what left-wing Snopes has been doing lately.
Once again, Democrats project.
“I wasn’t lying. I was just kidding. It was sarcasm. Couldn’t you tell I was being ironic? It’s your fault if you can’t get my jokes. I ran outta gas. I had a flat tire. I didn’t have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn’t come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from outta town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake, a terrible flood, locust’s. It wasn’t my fault!! I swear to God!!”
LOL!!! That is my all-time favorite movie, NEVER gets old. And in that scene, my favorite part is right after Jake’s plea, Elwood ducks and braces for the shooting to start.
Where do I get the idea than John Belushi was like that, the blubbering excuses complete with the “cute look” on his face, with the women in his real life?
Oh, she was just joking about the climate apocalypse. Ok then…
I think what she was trying to say on the video is that the “up-talking” “Valley Girl/Dude” who represents her political base is saying, “Like, why are you Republican dudes are worried about where the money is coming from when the world will end in 12 years?”
So she didn’t say it, her “everydude” supporter said it.
On the other hand, she didn’t explain this very well by saying this was just “sarcasm, a joke.” What she could have said, say, if she had the benefit of an education at one of our top universities, would have been, “I never said the world would end in 12 years. I was giving voice to members of the Millenial generation who will face the brunt of failing to . . . blah, blah, blah. ‘The world will end in 12 years’ is the shorthand expression people I talk to use to express to me that this is an existential crisis . . . blah, blah, blah.”
On the other, other hand, she is quoted in another context as giving 12 years as a time frame in which “we will have to act.”
On the other, other, other hand, it is hard to tell anymore what is something she actually said and what was a humor piece in the Babylon Bee. You know, Snopes cannot tell the difference between sarcastic jokes about her and her actual pronouncements anymore. This is the boundary where one crosses into self parody.
“You should know better than to take me seriously!”
Rand, that picture on Treacher’s blog — didn’t that actress play opposite Sigourney Weaver in the Alien movies?
