A long but interesting dive into why young people aren’t getting it on. Among other things, it confirms my long-standing suspicion that ubiquitous porn is making for a lot of terrible and painful sex for women, because too many men think that what is depicted is normal, or expected. And the sad thing is that many women apparently just accept that as the way it is. Anyway, modern dating sounds awful, in part thanks to #MeToo, particularly on campus.

Don’t forget MGTOW. A marginal factor, but one which seems to be growing.
I suspect this has more to do with what kind of porn the researchers are drawn to than regular people. What is prevalent? There is something for every kink but that something exists doesn’t necessarily mean it “prevalent.”
Maybe this is due to how creepy using these facilities have become? Why is this guy watching enough people get dressed to notice a trend in how they do it? It seems that people lamenting the decline of gang showers always like to check people out. Looking at naked strangers is what the internet is for. People get paid to perform. Stop getting it for free at the gym, creeper.
I think the article is just a bunch of fear mongering based on small changes in unreliable statistics. Much like many psychologists get into the gig because they are trying to figure out their own brains, the same is probably true for sex researchers. Things are changing. I don’t think these are the people who are going to find the answers to why or what will/should happen in the future.
The article was not written by “this guy.” It was written by a woman.
I hear there used to be well understood standards of acceptable courtship behavior. These days the most outrageous proposition might be accepted, revocable by the SJW favored party at any later time, and the most innocent expression of interest may be taken as sexual harassment. No wonder many are reluctant to venture into a social mine field.
