Showed the Left’s cultural bullying at its worst. Mary Katherine Hamm is en fuego:
Finally, to cap the week, the FBI offered a bizarre assessment of the shooting that ignored the plain significance of all of the established facts of the case to declare it a “spontaneous” attack with “no target.” What perverse standards. A Republican congressman is fighting for his life in a hospital thanks to a partisan attacker, but let’s examine on national TV several times over how he kind of had it coming because of his politics.
Republicans literally had guns held to their heads, so they should renounce their rights to armed self-defense?
Republicans were victims of a multiple assassination attempt, and it warrants half the coverage of the assassination attempt on a Democrat six years earlier?
Republicans were shot by a partisan political adversary, so they should be careful how much they celebrate electoral wins?
It all revealed once again the overweening cultural hubris of the American Left, which has been in control of so many institutions and the prevailing political narrative for so long, it can’t conceive of Republicans as victims even when they’re being shot. Many of them are cultural bullies convinced of their righteousness, and as Reid did, they’ll kick you when you’re down after being shot on a baseball field. Why, it’s enough to drive you to hire a giant, coarse, shameless bully of your own and make him president.
Want more Trump? This is how you get more Trump.
Meanwhile, my neighbor Kurt Schichter says spare me the principles lecture.
Is there no way to shame those most blatantly biased?
Assume the answer. Then what? Is there a next step that would be effective? When do we get on to that?
Talk is obviously not going to get the job done because talk only works if there is the possibility of shame.
If there is no effective answer doesn’t that mean a long death spiral?

Democrats have well over a hundred years of organized, and unorganized, political violence. You can look at the late 1800’s, early 1900’s, mid 1900’s late 1900’s, the aughts, and current times to see endless examples of Democrat party violence.
Should you point this out to a Democrat, they will say you have a persecution complex or some other mental disorder. Just like they said people worried about Russia were paranoid. It is a very similar tactic used by the USSR to declare dissidents mentally ill before incarcerating them. Before they even get that far, it has been an excellent strategy to marginalize their victims and ignore what the Democrat party does.
That’s why I reject any principle that somehow obligates me to submit to the left’s tyranny.
It’s a bit like the claim that doing anything to fight back against terrorism just makes more terrorists and is fated to fail.
This has been going on since at least 1865. After all, Lincoln kinda had it coming since he didn’t let the South secede peacefully.
Lincoln was willing to let the South depart peacefully. He had declared that he would not be the one to initiate hostilities. But the South would have nothing of it. Important elements in the South believed that unless the fledgling confederation earned its independence in blood and war, the Confederacy could not succeed — the seceding states, many of them, would simply drift back into the Union. Thus the military attack that the South launched against legitimate U.S. property and personnel, Fort Sumter. The rest is history.
