Yes, Trump’s tweet (as are many of his tweets) was stupid, but most of his critics have no ground to stand on:

I find it interesting that then Senator Clinton thought an Amendment was bad, but was just fine with a simple law to outlaw a form of speech. It’s not really a double standard, but a lack of understanding of how rights are truly protected. I’m glad she won’t be President.

The simplest way to solve the whole flag burning issue is to pass a law requiring all US flags to be flame proof or fire retardant.
