“No scientific evidence for their use.”
It’s not just nutrition that’s a scientific Charlie Foxtrot. I had a cardiologist in Florida try to put me on Lipitor a few years ago. I told her, “there’s no scientific evidence that it reduces heart risk in people like me,” I told her. “Where did you hear that?” she demanded. “The Pfizer web site,” I replied. She was flabbergasted.
That stuff is poison. I was put on it and in six weeks I was losing my mind. I couldn’t remember anything. I knew it was the cause since nothing else in my diet changed. I was back to normal several weeks after stopping it, and then found out a NASA flight surgeon had worse results. He had transient global amnesia and reverted back to his 13 year old self. https://www.spacedoc.com/articles/my-statin-story
My cousin-in-law had a terrible experience with statins. He suffered long term muscle damage (even after going off them) that made it a struggle to go up stairs. He’s gradually getting a bit better, but it’s taken years.
