  1. Oh come on, this is unfair!

She’s gotten away with so many outrageous lies, in all sorts of things, for so many years it’s completely unfair and unreasonable to pull the rug out from under her now (she’s got enough trouble remaining upright as it is) and expect her to suddenly have coherent lies.

Also, her campaign is being totally forthright when they tell us that they revealed her pneumonia right after her ground zero problem, not over 8 hours later like your memory and the video tape tells you.

And let’s not forget, it’s not contagious, which is how her while campaign office is sick with it right now – behold the power of coincidence!

    1. Considering the speculation that her pneumonia is a result of food aspiration due to Parkinson’s causing difficulty swallowing, she should have eaten one of those pickles on camera.

  2. After the interviews with Bill and Hillary Monday, we now know that the claim about the collapse being from pneumonia is just another lie.

Both of the interviews contained a high level of dishonesty through skeezy word choices, especially Hillary who said roughly, “This has only happened twice before that I can remember.” How many times that she can’t remember?

    1. I had pneumonia. When I was 20. I spent a week or two in bed. Do I think a 68-year-old with it would be able to spend 90 minutes standing up at a memorial ceremony (or anything else?) Not hardly.

      1. Rick C, it’s not a lie because she didn’t have pneumonia. It’s a lie because it’s part of a bigger cover up. We know that because of the delay and stonewalling. The question is, what exactly are they covering up. What we know is she’s had many other medical issues that are probably related.

        1. Ya, how many stories were there to explain what happened? Even the pneumonia one that is being pushed now is a lie because at one point they cite all of her staff getting sick as proof but then claim she isn’t contagious.

People note that pneumonia would lead to her being seriously ill for more than just a day.

Hillary is an amazing liar and the media goes along with whatever she wants them to. Instead of noting impossibility of debilitating pneumonia being gone so soon, they are spinning Hillary’s immaculate recovery as her being tough.

Hillary showed no signs of pneumonia before or after her collapse and it isn’t because she is a tough old lady with superhuman lady powers to “power through” illness.

        2. Well, strictly speaking, it’s both, but I know what you meant. Plus, of course, it’s lies all the way down–“non-contagious bacterial pneumonia”? That’s not really a thing.

I gather the media has been referring to Sunday’s event as a “stumble”. Uh, no.

          1. Bacterial pneumonia is a real thing. But a non-contagious variety? I think team Hillary lied themselves into a corner with a less specific pneumonia claim, got caught in the encounter with the little girl, and came up with that one trying to bamboozle us and get out.

    1. I’ve been wondering at what point Jim would no longer be able to get enough talking points to provide Clinton cover.

      1. Oftentimes Jim will wait until someone mentions his name in this manner…and then he’ll chime in.

I’ve been tempted to imagine that reality has finally drilled through the concrete and Jim sees what a scoundrel and congenital liar she is. But I refuse to believe in miracles.

    2. He is too busy volunteering at her local campaign office.

Also, defending her is just a waste of time because any story Hillary puts out will be shown to be a lie within days or weeks.

      1. Baghdad Jim may have reached a point where even he can’t stand beclowning himself in the service of the “liberal” Hive and whoever its current standard bearer is. You pretty much have to have low self-esteem just to be a “liberal” these days (who with a health self-esteem would WANT to be a serf; but I can imagine Jim one day looking at himself in a mirror and thinking, “No more . . . no more.” Even his role-model, Baghdad Bob, must have had days where he thought: “Oh, jeez, how long do I have to parrot the same obvious bilge day after day . . . and for a guy who’d put me in front of a firing squad just as soon as look at me.”

        1. You pretty much have to have low self-esteem just to be a “liberal” these days

Or just chronically uninformed. Hillary can get away with saying she wont put ground troops in Iraq or Syria because the Democrat media has done such an amazing job of hiding the fact that they are already there from the American people.

I’ve had sooooo many conversations with Democrats who don’t know anything about the wars we are involved in. How many Democrats know we are at war in Yemen right now?

    3. Aw, it’s nice to be missed. I’m here, just busy with work. Too busy to volunteer much for the Clinton campaign, even, but I am signed up for a canvass on Saturday.

For whatever it’s worth, I don’t think Clinton is a scoundrel or a congenital liar. From what I can tell she’s less scoundrel-ly and less dishonest than most people in politics, far less on both counts than her opponent in this race. “Scoundrel” isn’t a word you hear all that much today, but it strikes me as the perfect label for Mr. Trump.

      1. For whatever it’s worth, I don’t think Clinton is a scoundrel or a congenital liar.

It’s not worth much. But “scoundrel” is a word typically applied to a male, not female. Bill is a scoundrel, but I wouldn’t call her that. I could come up with worse words for her, though.

From what I can tell she’s less scoundrel-ly and less dishonest than most people in politics

        You apparently can’t tell much.

        1. “But “scoundrel” is a word typically applied to a male, not female. ”

          According to dictionary.com scoundrel means:

“an unprincipled, dishonorable person; villain. ”

          Mirriam-Webster says:

” a person (especially a man) who is cruel or dishonest”

          …..which doesn’t rule out females.

Besides, this is the age of equality, no? It would be misogynist to deny Hillary the benefit of the label just because she’s a female (\sarc)

          1. Or using a gender based insult is rather common for Democrats but portrayed as the most evil thing ever if anyone says anything negative about a Democrat.

      2. ” From what I can tell she’s less scoundrel-ly and less dishonest than most people in politics, …”

        Then you cannot tell much.

        1. “Baghdad Jim may have reached a point where even he can’t stand beclowning himself in the service of the ‘liberal’ Hive and whoever its current standard bearer is. You pretty much have to have low self-esteem just to be a “liberal” these days (who with a health self-esteem would WANT to be a serf; but I can imagine Jim one day looking at himself in a mirror and thinking, ‘No more . . . no more.’ Even his role-model, Baghdad Bob, must have had days where he thought: ‘Oh, jeez, how long do I have to parrot the same obvious bilge day after day . . . and for a guy who’d put me in front of a firing squad just as soon as look at me.'”

          Oh, wait . . . I wrote too soon.

      3. Earlier I wrote:

“I’ve been tempted to imagine that reality has finally drilled through the concrete and Jim sees what a scoundrel and congenital liar she is. But I refuse to believe in miracles.”

And I see that my disbelief in miracles was wholly justified.

      4. We would produce the evidence that you are wrong but it was destroyed, then bleachbitted, then it plead the fifth and all while never having a security clearance.

      1. It didn’t for me. It was a funny video and rather scary in how accurate it turned out to be so many years later.

        1. It must be something in how my computer is configured. I specifically don’t touch anything after clicking the link, it seems to be loading, then forwards to an SNL Jeopardy skit. Oh well.

  3. I feel like deja vu. Makes me remember when Brezhnev was in the peak of health, until Andropov took over, then he was, until Chernenko took over, then… It’s just sad that the country of my age is in many ways so similar to the totalitarian nemesis of my youth.

    1. My wife had orthostatic hypotension, where your blood pressure drops when you stand up suddenly. I’ve seen her stagger dozens of times EXACTLY like Hillary did on Sunday. I’m sure that’s not what Hillary has, because it wouldn’t happen in those circumstances, where she was already standing, but what that stagger is, is absolutely someone who lost the ability to stay standing.

  4. What I’ve been seeing is that “Women are expected to go on working even when badly ill, so objecting to Hillary doing that is just sexism.”

  5. For the coming debate they’ll need to install a stick up her butt so she can stand for it. Then she’ll really be Hillary Rod’ham Clinton.
