Thanks for the concerned emails, but I am alive, despite the lack of posts (and tweets). This week has been the final throes of getting the house ready to sell, and we’re doing open houses this weekend.
[Monday-morning update]
We got several bids on the house, but none high enough to accept. Now that it’s in showable condition, we’re going to continue to list by owner. I’m going back to CA tomorrow (after six weeks of not being home) but I’ll be back. We’re probably going to add a laundry room. Millennials seem to want that. Doing laundry in the garage was good enough for us, but apparently not for them.
Do you want to have a backup moderator for these times – much like what Glen does?
I’m having no problem moderating. I just don’t have much time to think or post about anything other than my house in Florida.
Well I meant adding topics as well as moderating
Sounds like you need a little vacation after this is over.
What do you mean? Who would need a vacation after spending six weeks in Florida?
Especially at the height of the season, in late July and August. No better time for watching hurricanes, except September.
Hoping all that hard work pays off soon, Rand. Wishing you the best.
That’s the spirit.
Glad to hear you are fine. I was beginning to worry.
Well, I wouldn’t say I’m “fine.” We still haven’t sold the damn house. 😉
From what I’ve heard property prices have been going down recently (again).
I know you had a bad experience with some of your tenants but I think it would be a better idea to rent it.
