This is a timely new book from James Bennett, on the eve of the Brexit vote. Haven’t read it yet, but I will. I’ll be curious to see what, if anything, he says about space.

We’ve just had a British economist on morning TV telling us that Brexit would be bad economically for the UK – initially a 2% hit, then over a decade or two this growing to 8% (she threw in a claim that 96% of economists agree – and I can hear you ROTFLYAO at that) – and that it would be bad economically for New Zealand (Britain has kept the door to Europe open a little for us).
So presumable it would be bad for Australia as well.
It all sounds like BS to me, without Britain the EU amounts to 18% of the global economy and 9% of the population, the membership of the EU severely restricts Britain’s trade with the other 77% and 90% of the Worlds economy and population – which produce goods that are more complementary rather than competitive with British goods and services.
I just read the comments by Prime Minister David Cameron after the vote to leave EU.
I wish we had a president who loved our country and respected our people as much.
