As a citizen of Illinois, this comes as no surprise. The straightforward meaning of that clause, and the long-standing interpretation by the courts led me to expect no other result.
So what’s next for Illinois? Higher and higher taxes, and a long slide into economic depression? Perhaps it is time to start getting my house ready for sale.
Should have started doing that a long time ago. Especially if you live in Cook County.
The start will be the housing bubble. Once that goes…..the dominos will fall pretty quickly.
