…its water quality would be fine.
Government is just a word for things we do together, like charging city residents for toxic water that will cause permanent brain damage to their kids.
[Update a few minutes later]
Flint residents can’t sue the government. Unlike if the water company had been private like (say) General Motors. Isn’t that convenient?
Well, the leftbots don’t really care.
Here’s what they put on Twitter:
“Just wish conservatives were as angry about poor people getting lead in their water as they are about poor people getting food stamps.”

Damaged brains=Democrat voters. They’re just seeding the next crop.
If the people providing the water were a private company, they would need to make sure the water was pure in order to (a) sell it, and (b) avoid law-suits.
It certainly wouldn’t be in its current state.
Another strike against government run healthcare. Your doctor commits malpractice? Hah! Just try suing!
That was the case when I was in the military.
Government is just a word for things we do together by force.
They just need to replace the water plumbing infrastructure with new pipes. A large portion of the US infrastructure has been crumbling. We keep hearing that for the last decade its little surprise it happened someplace eventually. Heck I saw it first hand every time I went there.
A private water monopoly is not the answer. If they need more money to replace the pipes they can just issue a bond and raise water prices.
This is a very ignorant statement. Bond money rarely goes to the actual project. It’s often used to pay off old debts or to pay off the public unions through pay raises or refilling pension coffers that have been depleted due to corruption.
