How perfect is it that one of the SLS administrators at NASA is named Bill Hill?
In the post the other day about Rand’s FISO, Marcel F. Williams was talking about how many of the various launchers were built. Contrast that build rate with SLS. Correct me if I am wrong, but it looked like in the Apollo days, they had an excess launch capacity and SLS barely has any launch capacity.
From the link, they wont have enough SLS’s built to do all the missions they want without bumping a mission a year or so and we are still six or seven years out.
For the people who think SLS is Apollo redux, it is really a pale shadow.
It’s the mini-Nova rocket. Solids and LOX/LH2. Blech.
