Mr. Steyn goes to Washington.
As appalling as the Democrats’ behavior was, I suspect that part of the reason Cruz got little support from his fellow Republicans is that he pisses them off so much.

Who could have guessed that looking at temperature charts and graphs could set blood boiling?
Anyone with two eyes and half a brain. I’ve re-read this entire post and can find no hint of anything other that foggy-eyed earnestness in that sentence. For the record, the source of the “blood boiling” was completely one-sided. There may have been “two wildebeest’s” present at one point, but only one of them had above average blood temp.
If Senator Cruz seriously wants to be elected President of the United States, he’ll need to show he can do a better job of managing his own subcommittee.
Horseshit. I doubt Reagan would have been a better president had he had more experience in managing Senate subcommittees.

Damn right. And when I hear people bemoaning the lack of decorum without noting its source, or whining about “minority abuse” and “circus’s” (blamed on staff) in a Senate hearing that one side see’s as nothing more that an opportunity to publicly preen, my bullshit meter gets pegged. There’s more that a little David Brooks-style “let me offer some sincere advise to the other side…” here.
The whole idea that Ted Cruz needs to “improve” his performance as a US Senator in order to be better qualified to be President is contemptible. In short, fuck that shit.
Curt,
Don’t hold back…tell us how you really feel 😉
