I have one theory behind the corruption: over time lefty apparatchiks have grown more and more confident that they will never ever be punished for anything. They take it for granted that their opposition will always be the Elmer Fudd Party, that everyone of any consequence will always look the other way. Appeasenik Republicans bear part of the blame for this.

I wonder what they were going to do with that access. Given the intrusive nature of the inquiries, I would worry about retribution not just from the IRS.
Wikipedia lists 106,000 employees at the IRS. The campaign contributions’ significance is suspicious.

NASA isn’t the only US government jobs program. And it doesn’t stop there, there’s a whole industry based around telling people how to deal with incredibly complex tax laws which would vanish if they were simplified.
We’ve come to the point where the people are afraid of the government, and the government isn’t the least bit afraid of the people.
That usually doesn’t end well if not reversed.
It usually ends up with guns being pointed at people, one way or another.

I sat by and watched the Obamacare protests on the internet but should I find myself with some free time and a tired Bass Thumb, I will set up shop outside the local IRS building. I wonder if conservatives would get the same privilages as Obama’s OWS for setting up tent villages and drum circles in every city…
That whole OWS thing looks especially corrupt now. The Democrats sent their militants into the streets to riot and physically intimidate the opposition while local party officials did nothing to keep them in check or uphold the rule of law.
Where are the TP groups who were attacked? They should be setting up.some protests.
Maybe some Democrats would show up to but we would have to tell them not to break windows, crap all over the place, and try as hard as they can not to stand six inches from a cop and yell obscenities.
