The problem is we wont be able to tell Guesty or Guest’s comments from all the other millions of uncreative people who choose to go by names like Guest or Anon on the internet.
The fake names people choose to go by says a lot about them.

I doubt it. He tends to troll in his own name, at his Facebook page (though he did start pulling down posts a couple months ago, as we noted in our most recent filings, because we had previously cited some of them in our defense).
I’ve taken many unpopular positions over the years on internet discussion forums. Some of the climate people are by far the craziest and most verbally suggestive. I think a hundred years ago, I’d have been a counterrevolutionary or something. Now, I’m merely a traitor to humanity and Earth. Either way, I’ll be first against the wall when the revolution comes. At least, that’s what some idiots on the internet told me.
I toured the Holocaust Museum recently, and one of the most chilling exhibits is a wall-through town street. The walk is through both space and time, beginning with German Jews just being Germans, progressing through their gradual demonizing, and ending in the Holocaust. The entire time I was mentally replacing the word “Jew” with “Denier.”

I’ve got a buddy who is a Jewish dentist from NY who, oddly enough for up there, is a Right-Wing Conservative, gun owner. He took his staff through the exhibit, some of whom are NY Libs, and at the end he handed them envelopes with a note inside saying something along these lines. [I’ve lost the e-mail for exact quoting, drat it]

What you’ve just experienced is history.
Now remember the exhibit as it is, but replace the exact words or references to Judaism with some of the following group names, beliefs or ideologies and remember that history CAN be repeated.
Christian.
Conservative.
Gun-Owner.
NRA Member.
Republican.
Pro-Life.
Veteran.
As a last thought, just put YOUR name in there, as being someone who the current, or next or some following, Administration dislikes or distrusts. There were tens of thousands of people sent to the camps for standing up to the Nazis, for being too religious, for being a person who refused to become a Nazi.
And remember, even some of the Jews who climbed aboard train cars as late as 1944, have said they truly believed the German Government of Adolf Hitler was only resettling them.

I’ve not been to the museum, it’s too hard for me to get around in such places. But I did do a internet mini-tour. It’s terrifying to me to imagine living in places, or times, where such things are possible. And some of the rabid global warming, let’s build a green world, anti-GMO, save the trees kill some humans types have and still call for the types of things the Nazis and Communists have done in the last 100 years.

In and of itself a cowardly and disingenuous act. I certainly hope they were captured prior to the erasure.
It just baffles me – in what kind of mind does a red flag not go up when it sees someone engage in those kinds of tactics to censor and squelch debate?
The kind of mind who thinks ONLY their ‘truth’ is worthy of consideration. Bart you must not pay attention o politics in the U.S. or the EU. That kind of thinking not only has the floor right now, it’s supported by 99.9% of the worlds media and information organizations. That’s why you see the Sunday Morning news shows booking far left politicians and talking heads and from the ‘Right’ side they book RINOs.
So that having a discussion is out of the question. Pravda may mean Truth, but it didn’t say WHOSE Truth it was! The same could be said for a great deal of worldwide ‘news’ organs.
I said it baffled me. I didn’t say I don’t see it happening or it doesn’t exist. But, I do try to pay as little attention as possible to politics. The mere presence of beings such as that is intensely painful to me.
There was a scuffle between WUWT and Greg Laden from Nat Geo a while back. There were all kinds of comments from Laden’s defenders saying things like, “You are such a superior person for letting these anti-science bigots post in your comments.” But if you actually tried to post something critical of Laden it would somehow not make it past the moderator.
I guess he had to let a few through in order to make the illusion work on his followers.
