I just got this email from them:
Steve Mims mentioned you in a comment.
Steve wrote: “The ACLU wholeheartedly supports Senator Paul’s efforts to make the Obama administration explain why it feels it has the right to kill Americans on American soil when they are not attacking America.

Apparently the bot that makes these connections is confusing me with Rand Paul, to the point that it’s actually substituting my name for his.
[Update a few minutes later]
OK, I’ve deleted the link to the Facebook discussion, per comments.
[Update a while later]
OK, here‘s a safer link to the original FB post.
Your link to the comment itself contains your Facebook Login information; it auto-populates your Facebook e-mail address in the login screen when you click on it…
I didn’t know you were a Senator from Ky, Rand ๐
All you Rands look alike.
That’s very true. Very true.
๐
The one that wrote Atlas Shrugged looks kinda different.
(sung to the Beach Boys “Barbara Ann”)
Rand, Rand, Rand, Rand-Simberg-Rand,
Rand, Rand, Rand, Rand-Simberg-Rand,
Rand-Simberg-Rand, you are our man!
A linkin’ and a postin’, tryin’ reason with those trollin’
Your blog is never bland!
Well, you both have the same first name, and you also both use the internet, so therefor you must be the same person, right?
BTW, I very much enjoyed your filibuster yesterday. ๐
A further thought; WHY does facebook have bots that do this? Is it something you have to set your account to do (watch for mentions of your name) or are they routinely bombarding members with this sort of inane stuff?
Incidentally, the first link in the post takes me to a “leaving facebook” warning screen (I’m not even a member), and then on to a 404 error at Brieitbart.
