As law professor Glenn Reynolds, the legendary Instapundit, has observed, most Americans commit several felonies a day. They just don’t know it, and that’s simply unacceptable in a free society.
This can only occur after the tipping point. Arbitrary enforcement of law is lawlessness. The death of Aaron Swartz is just one of many and should be unacceptable to decent people. We are not decent people. If we don’t change this, we can never again consider ourselves such.
Have we no shame? We need more wackos that believe in liberty in congress. Forgive them their faults and get them elected.
