On the contrary, Prohibition probably inhibited the birth of hundreds or thousands of children, since their parents couldn’t get drunk and mate.
He didn’t say “net.” That’s one of the many logical flaws of the “if it only saves one life” argument.
The US government deliberately poisoned alcohol during Prohibition that killed many people. Some estimates put the death toll as high as 10,000.
Hey, fewer children conceived==fewer deaths.
