Mass Transit

…is the new Jim Crow.

It’s funny how so many “liberal” fetishes (e.g., gun control, minimum wage, legal and rampant abortions, welfare) have such devastating consequences on the people for whom they profess to care so much.

Here’s another example. The moronic war by the “progressives” on Walmart, which has done more for poor people than any government program.

  1. Actually it takes them longer in every single mode of transport including cars. The reason is pretty obvious. They can’t afford to live in places with more ready access to transportation. The Buses are particularly egregious so I don’t see how you extrapolate towards mass transit investments being bad.

    1. The least absolute and percentage difference is with cars. Cars are the great equalizer. Even more so in less dense urban settings.

      1. Indeed, and it is only a 12 hour difference over an entire year, just a few minutes a day. On any given day, getting caught at a red light could wipe out the difference.

    1. They don’t really care. (As in, “I love mankind, it’s poor people I can’t stand.)

    2. To them, it’s a wel-planned feature, not a bug. And it’s working beautifully. >:-(

It is seen as competition. If Walmart helps the poor, then how can the “progressives” buy votes?

  4. In raciss 1962, a black man couldn’t ride in the front of a public bus. Not if he valued his skin.

In post-racist 2012, a white man had better not ride on a city bus at all. Not if he values his skin.

(Note: white people who value they skin be raciss.)

Welcome to the world of Crow Jim.
