The ultimate application of the “broken window” fallacy.
(Well, the ultimate that doesn’t involve high explosives.)
I’m not one to try to claim things like this to being a result of Gods’ wrath, but if I were I think a reasonable case could be made for this being a result of His anger over the TV show “Jersey Shore”.
Or on the other hand Cecil, maybe even the Devil is tired of Jersey Shore, and this will drive a nail in the casket of this past summer being THE last season of Jersey Shore.
I feel for those people and I have contributed. Welcome to life on the gulf coast. Those picture reminded me of Ike, Katrina and others.
I have a friend who lives Milburn, NJ, which is about 15 miles inland. The destruction there is almost as bad. It was really devastating.
The center of the storm passed directly over my house in Maryland, and aside from a day without power (and most people didn’t lose power this time), it was nothing remarkable. We lucked out.
This is what happens when people who aren’t used to a hurricane get exposed to one. The houses weren’t designed for it, the people don’t know how to behave properly, chaos ensues.
