That was too close for comfort, but it was nice to see them beat the Spartans, finally. I expected it to be a beatdown, given how well the defense has been playing. And it’s the first win in a long time, I think, that they didn’t score a touchdown.
[Update in the evening]
It’s been over a decade since Michigan won without a touchdown. Probably longer. It’s unusual for them to not score a touchdown, let alone win without doing so. It’s a testimony to the defense.
I’m glad my wife’s getting her master’s through Mississippi State — 45-3 against Middle Tennessee — but next week will be a real challenge, playing Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
OK. the Blue and Yellow managed to squeak out a win against an MSU team having a seriously down year. I would only point out two things–
1. my Spartans still almost won.
2. the Wolverine is a member of the Mustelidae, or weasel family.
Lifelong Nebraska fan. Picking Michigan by 2 TDs in Lincoln this Saturday.
I think that the MSU/M game was driven by emotion. I don’t know how Nebraska will do, but I don’t expect it to be as tight.
