Hmm, unrealised eschatology. Then again, you could make a case for the Republicans being apocalyptic preachers. Actually quite penetrating. I explored this idea is some detail back in 2009 with my essay, “Is Obama a milleniarian without a plan? Does he even need one?” and in more general political terms in 2004 with “The danger of the Ideal Time.”

physics guy, here are a few techniques of breaking up the leftist oligarchy: 1) eliminate federal tax breaks for news media (new media does not get this break proper? that is not fair), 2) reallocate broadcast tv bands, 3) withhold federal funding to all educational institutions that do not agree to pick affirmative steps’ to eliminate discrimination against conservatives and libertarians. Gauge outcome.’ If liberals arrange up more than half of faculty and student populations, they are overrepresented.
