  1. Maybe we could put together a kickstarter to have Neil Armstrong’s ashes impacted into the Moon. Say, a few miles from the Apollo 11 landing site.

    Wouldn’t cost much more than $35M I expect, although having a SpaceX rocket deliver it would be a little ironic.

  2. IIRC Robert Heinlein’s ashes were scattered at sea from a US Navy ship.

    In Niven, Pournelle and Flynn’s “Fallen Angels” the protagonists mention a pint of sea water for Mare Imbrium (see Heinlein’s story “Requiem”)on the grounds that at least a few of Heinlein’s atoms would be in it.
    So when people next return to the Moon maybe we should carry a second pint for Mare Tranquillitatis.
