It doesn’t matter. The ugly beauty of Fascism is responsibility is divorced from results. GM fails, it’s GM’s fault. GM success is the governments fault.
We already lost this when we allowed them to change the rules and define winners and losers when the last deal was made. It should have been an uproar then not to allow it. We allowed it. We lost.
We’ve lost over and over again. Because we’ve allowed them to make an unmake-able case. That’s the battle we’re losing and an election win doesn’t change that.
The next president needs to educate the electorate with Ross Perot style half hour commercials. Let’s replace the department of education with Bill Whittle.
I also think GM underestimated the anger of the entrepreneurial class at seeing the rule of law destroyed in the auto bailout. I’ll walk before I ever even ride in a GM car. I ditched my Dodge truck, I now drive a Ford.
But it’s a profitable company. Why won’t anyone listen to Chris and me. I’m just going to hold my breath until I turn blue (so there!).
Get Mitt Romney to break it up and sell it to the Chinese.
GM is sending a research lab over to China, so it looks like they are already getting a head start.
Does GM make any dividend payments to us? Because they really should…
Of course they don’t.
If someone’s going to get you over a barrel, expect them to keep kicking so long as you stay there. Human Nature 101.
Not even an employee discount for all Americans? Like say, Canadian prices?
Oh… over a barrel… gotcha.
