I’m just guessing that this gang will not turn out to be Tea Partiers. In fact, I’ll bet there will be ties to both the Democrat Party and Occupy. There will be arrest records, after all.

I am an “extremist,” and proud of it. If you tried 100 times to poke me in the eyes, I would resist you 100 times. Even if you and your gang overwhelmed me and held me down and forced me to submit to your eye-poking, I would never concede your “right” to poke me in the eyes–not if it were for the good of the State, the good of Society, or the good of the race; not if you told me God ordered you to poke me in the eyes; not if it would help the rich or the poor or Capital or Labor; or because the majority had voted to poke me in the eyes. A “moderate” might allow you to poke him in the eyes 30 times out of a 100; a centrist would allow you to poke him in the eyes half the time–provided you gave them “good” reasons, or maybe just to be concilatory and promote national unity.
both the Democrat Party and Occupy
A distinction without a difference.
You believe in liberty and inalienable rights. Wow. You are so extreme!!!
“You believe in liberty and inalienable rights. Wow. You are so extreme!!!”
I know. I believe a month ago E. J. Dionne, Evan Thomas or some other “liberal” twerp called Romney–yes, Romney!–an “extremist” because he invoked the Constitution. To paraphrase Don Imus’ Rev. Billy Sol, “They don’t make extremists like Sam Adams any longer.”
Without a doubt this was a coordinated effort from who would show up and at what time down to what type of clothes to wear and words to shout. Will Obama condemn this type of physical intimidation tactics from those working on his behalf?
Go read the comments, the Democrats are saying things like, “Ya, so?” and “He deserves it.”
I find it interesting that the Secret Service allowed a woman to get on stage, then wouldn’t talk about how it had done so.
Early in Clinton’s first term, I attended a speech he gave outdoors, at Cal State Northridge. Moments after he began to speak, a heckler stood up near the back of the crowd and yelled some right-wing argument at him. Before he finished his first sentence, two Secret Service agents had him, and hustled him away. It couldn’t have taken more than 10 seconds for them to reach him.
Clinton didn’t miss a beat, and gave a reply which I wish I could remember. It was so smooth, polished, and polite that my first thought was “That was really classy.”
Then I looked around and saw that there were no Secret Service evident anywhere else, certainly none within 100 yards of the area where the heckler had been. Then I realized that the entire event was scripted. I’ve since heard Clinton caught by a real heckler, and he is anything but smooth.
The point is, the SS will obey their ultimate boss. Given the license he apparently gives them to carouse at taxpayer expense, they might feel more allegiance to him than to their duty. I’d say that Romney and Ryan would be better off with Blackwater than the SS.
From what I’ve heard, Ryan has not yet had Secret Service agents assigned to him.
