  1. One of his references is Jeremy Nichols, WildEarth Guardians. From their website:

we’re challenging every single new coal lease while working to overturn a sweet-heart policy that prevents any competition for federal coal, keeping it dirt-cheap.

    Wonder if Jeremy does stand-up.

  2. He appears to have no serious managerial experience prior to his EPA appointment to head Region VI. From associate professor to managing a bureaucracy that spans five states, including major oil producers Texas and Louisiana, is quite a leap.

Unfortunately, not unusual in government. Kay Bailey Hutchison went from being a legal reporter on television to chairwoman of the National Transportation Safety Board. And then, of course, a famous rocket designer.

  3. The woman heading up Obama’s fracking task force graduated in 1999 with a BA in environmental policy and never worked a day since then outside of Congress or the White House.
