Some thoughts on the modern “justice” system. Of course, if everyone demanded their sixth-amendment rights, it could crash the system, and perhaps bring some rationality to the dense thicket of law that has accumulated over the past couple hundred years.

Wow, a literal instance of the “prisoner’s dilemma.” Good job.
It’s worth noting here that plea bargains probably work mostly the other way. That is, they give defendants who legitimately would face more severe punishment in a courtroom a means to get an easier sentence. The innocent person is already more likely to go to trial. So thinking about it, I don’t see this movement going anywhere unless persecution of innocents is very commonplace.
