Jeez, another fake photo. I see they’re just trying to maintain the fiction that humans walked on the moon. I mean, c’mon! You can’t even see stars in that picture. You’d think they’d at least try to photoshop them in.
[Update in the afternoon]
Wow, are my commenters gullible. They really believe this. Come on, people, just look at the lighting and the shadows! Obviously fake, just like the landing itself. And that story about the astronaut punching out that truth teller.
Does anyone know from which direction, in that overhead shot, the LEM flew to it’s final landing site?
Thanks
The LM flew over the large crater to the right of the picture, it ended up behind the LM and Armstrong walked to the edge of it and you can see the trail of his footsteps in the picture. Which is if you think about it astounding. And given that the LM was flying east to west it seems that picture is properly oriented, IE north is up in that picture.
Thank you Cecil
I don’t know, Gregg, but it’s an interesting question. When I look at the photo, I see a wide area of discoloration between the LM descent stage and the camera. I wonder if that’s due to the astronauts walking there a lot or if some of it was caused by the engine thrust during the final seconds of descent.
I am surprised to see so many craters at Tranquility.
