I read his Twitter feed from Saturday night when he “came out” (linked at Ace of Spades). It was awesome.
I don’t see the link there now, though, and I’m not up on this newfangled Twitter stuff.
Something similar happened to my career when I made it plain that I am against “gay marriage”. People I have known for years went absolutely apeshit. How dare I object to cornholing! How dare I disagree with all right-thinking people! Ah, those tolerant, open-minded types in the entertainment industry!
Happy ending. I have other, better friends now. I found a new career, too. The kind, gentle, smart people who know better than I do did their best to punish me for my heresy, yet here I stand, doing better than ever. Advantage: Lewis.
Maybe Knauf (I loved Carnivale, btw) can join up with David Mamet (who came out of the leftist closet last year) (and did I mention how much I loved House of Games and Homicide?) and do something truly awe-inspiring…would be a helluva combination of writer-director-producer.
Judging by his post, he’s a very, very good writer.
