  1. And now, the punchline:

This is why we need free access to it.

Marvelous logic: we feel this way, ergo give it to us. He goes on with some conditions, but notes: “the sales goals of corporations are of no interest to us whatsoever.”

    HARD-CORE, DUDE.

You get that? You see what the cat is laying down? In stark contrast to every generation that came before, this generation has no interest in the sales goals of corporations. WHAT. SO. EVER.

One more thing: we do not want to pay for our memories. The films that remind us of our childhood, the music that accompanied us ten years ago: in the external memory network these are simply memories.

It’s been my observation that those most opposed to the idea of intellectual property are the least likely to have produced any. They just want free stuff. They’re mooches and morons. And for all their Internet wisdom, if they lack a good knowledge-based BS detector, they’re easily duped and manipulated morons. See: OWS.

  2. I started laughing at the part where the writer boasted about how they are accustomed to being able to look up information immediately (so that makes them so much smarter than us old squares who… also have become accustomed to using Google and so on, but never mind). I mean, if internet research is so second nature to them, why are there still so many stupid young people on the internet who just accept whatever is the trendy belief system of their peers?

  3. I was tempted to leave this comment:

“I grew up a playmate of T. Coddington Van Vorhies III, spending my days at his father’s mansion. We would play on his yacht and got to fly in his helicopter and private jet. Those memories are part of my childhood, part of me. So I demand that mansions, yachts, jets, and helicopters be provided free to my generation. Oh, and manservants, plus maids, gardeners, chefs, and money, rooms full of money.”
