Ironically, after the flap or Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction, they pick a singer who is a wardrobe malfunction. She’s singing for Superbowl 46, yet was already 9 years old during Superbowl I.
It could always be worse. They could’ve (and no doubt one day will) let Lady Ga Ga do the halftime show.
If only it was 1985 Madonna, Borderline, Lucky Star, even Like a Virgin, I’d be pretty happy. I hit pu back then.
I’m just happy that it’s not the Black Eyed Peas, I am a man of modest demands, and yet they still exist.

Racist.
That’ll be the first halftime show I’ll miss. Not even morbid curiosity will keep me on the couch for it. I actually dig some of her music (more the ’80s than the later) – I just think this is an odd choice. I can’t imagine she was at the top of the list.
Considering 1985 was her break-out year, I would think it would have been 1986 that called.
Whatev.
Was Cher all booked up?
Um, what? A little more context or possibly a link would be appreciated.

Heh
I just hope the NFL can get someone to sing the National Anthem that, you know, actually knows the words…
Hank Williams, Junior wasn’t available? Oh, wait…
I trust that Madonna never made any politically mean-spirited remarks.
