Paul Rahe is optimistic about the political future. I agree that the key is for the Republicans to come up with a good candidate (and much better ones than they have since Reagan).

…as long as that dart doesn’t land on the name “Mitt Romney,” for example.
Ah Rick could be worse than that, “Mike Hucklebee” , not sure if Trump is worse than Romney. Other than Romney is too much of a politician.
The thought of either Trump or Huckabee as President makes me a bit sick, for different reasons. I really hope one of the Republican Governors with a good fiscal and pro-liberty resume makes a serious run.
Yea Mitch Daniels looks good , just don’t think he has any hope. Not enough/any Charisma…
