Again with the spin Thomas? Notice they do have a 2014 F1e launch scheduled. Also, the purpose of the F1 was to qualify components for the F5 and F9. Customer demand made them focus on F9 which is the sign of a great company that adjusts to it’s market. Mothballed is not quite the right term for a product they can produce and fly anytime they need.

They just haven’t moved it to a F9 as secondary payload yet.
F1 is like the opposite of cheap access to space.. it’s more like a private plane. Falcon Heavy is the jumbo jet.
People are talking about 1kg satellite launchers for $1M/flight now. I can see the desire to lower the barriers to entry of accessing the space environment, but this is not how you make things cheaper.
