I just discovered a new web site, apparently devoted to getting sensible space policy from a Tea Party perspective.

Interesting.
“Your comment was a bit too short. Please go back and try again.”
No!
Well, OK.
Wait’ll the Tea Party runs across the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster party.
I like Tea in the Saharah myself.
Funny, I thought there was no central website for Tea Party policy…..
What makes this Tea Party website on space policy different from the other ones? Is it official in any way, or just one person with an opinion 🙂
Matula,
You could try reading the “About” at the website. I know that requires clicking the link Rand provided, clicking the About, reading, and then the ability to comprehend english. Which of those is difficult for you? One thing you’ll find is that like this blog, that blog is just one person with an opinion.
In fact there have been Tea Party sponsered protests against the Obama space policy. I would not be surprised if this person was not an Obama operative trying to muddie the waters.
Leland,
[[[One thing you’ll find is that like this blog, that blog is just one person with an opinion.]]]]
Thanks for confirming what I thought. Just another guy with a blog with no real connection to the Tea Party….
In fact there have been Tea Party sponsered protests against the Obama space policy.
Has that occurred anywhere that there weren’t local jobs at stake?
[pause, waiting for a response]
I didn’t think so.
I would not be surprised if this person was not an Obama operative trying to muddie the waters.
Of course you wouldn’t. But then, you should be surprised a lot more often than you are, and would be, if you didn’t have such an impenetrable filter against reality.
So? That was your standard before. You’re a self-serving hack.
Titus,
No, that was YOUR standard for dismissing my links. At least they were not hiding their identity from Whois.
Tu quoque doesn’t invalidate my point. Your definition of “tea party” remains ever self-serving, and it’s obvious to all. Shouting will not change the fact.
Just because the blog is run by one guy with an opinion doesn’t mean he’s not affiliated with a TEA Party. It doesn’t mean he is either. I realize Matula never has shown a knack for logic, but I really thought he could actually click the link and read. I’m not sure what he failed at: clicking the link or reading comprehension.
Given how driven he is to insist that the tea party has no interest in new space here, on this forum, where there is interest in both, it seems he has no knack for irony, either.
Clearly the New Republic is a fraud, because it claims to be a liberal magazine. It doesn’t have a single Liberal Party (of Canada) member at all!!
(Thomas Matula’s logic at work)
Leland and Titus,
IF you had told the time to read the “About” section as you claim you did you would find there is nothing to identify the blogger other then the name “Andrew”. Andrew who? The email leads only to a generic address at the website. There is no name or address of an owner in Whois other then Tea in Space. In short, there is nothing to identify who Andrew is or even where he lives.
Like you he lacks the courage to put a real name to his opinions.
At least the links I posted belonged to folks who had the courage to use their real names and locations.
That should be taken, not Told
Titus,

And I am sure there are supporters of President Obama who object to his space policy.
But, once again, provide a linked to a single “Tea Party” Representative or Senator who has made a statement in support of “New Space” or in favor of President Obama’s space policy.
In short, there is nothing to identify who Andrew is or even where he lives.
So?

Leland’s my real name.
At least the links I posted belonged to folks who had the courage to use their real names and locations.
I have no clue if Thomas Matula is your real name. To the point I claim you live in Nevada is because you claim to have voted for Harry Reid. Who you really are or where you live does nothing to bolster your arguments. You’re arguments suck because they lack any logical reasoning. If you are indeed, Thomas Matula from Nevada; I don’t see how that makes your points better.
Example, it doesn’t matter to me that Senator Ensign is a Republican from a state that could potentially turn more blue. He’s right to resign for his abuse of power. I don’t care what his association is or where he might live. What would be better is an overall reduction in Senatorial power, so that abuse is less likely regardless of party or location.
If I may, Leland is saying it’s about the content of the posts and not the color of the slander.
Leland,
So you don’t have a last name? As for my name being real. Rand has met met me and knows who I am as have others on this board. And you are free to google it to see who I am. I am not hiding from anyone.
Ken,
However the individual is claiming to be part of the Tea Party movement. Yet, by hiding their identity, there is no way to confirm if this is true or not. It may indeed be a plant, which is not unheard of in politics.
Did you notice that this guy has facebook links to his site, and real people clicking “like” button there ?
Reader,
He has a link to a Facebook site called Tea in Space, but again, no clue on who put up the site.

You know, the website did look a bit dodgy. So Spatula, do you think he is really a High Speed Rail advocate?
Funny, I thought there was no central website for Tea Party policy…..

It’s always been a unsung, Herculean burden of the Tea Party, that it’s so hard to stay on message for our corporate masters.
I was remiss earlier in not thanking Ken for being more pithy. He has it.
Aren’t there a large number of history’s greatest authors that did not publish under their real names?
Well Ayn Rand did take her name to hide from immigration when she was an illegal. So perhaps “Andrew” hopes to be the next Ayn Rand:-)
Not even Evel Knievel made leaps as great as Matula.
I assure you I am affiliated with the TEA Party. However, just because I am affiliated and belong to two TEA Party organizations does not mean I can officially speak for the national party.
Things are moving in the “right” direction.
This will change.
Respectfully,
Andrew Gasser
TEA in Space
Andrew,
I am glad to see you are a real person!
Yes, that is one of the weaknesses of the Tea Party, that no one is able to speak for the national party so its hard to determine just what their policy is beyond slogans.
I am glad to see you are a real person!
Did you see him, or read him? Note, all he has done is respond to you, which is obviously what you wanted. His identity now is no different then it was when you could have clicked the link and read for yourself.

Actually, it’s a strength, and there’s plenty of historical evidence that shows why it is. They know you don’t like it, Matula, but that doesn’t bother them. Their policy is in the name, but you refuse to recognize it. Your refusal does not equate to a weakness on their part.
