…now favor repealing the health-care debacle. Sounds like a good Republican campaign issue this fall.
The supporters of ObamaCare are not helped, of course, by stories like this:
Healthcare law tax credits encourage small businesses to stay small, not hire…
You don’t say.
The only question is whether this was an intended, or unintended consequence. It was perfectly predictable to anyone who understands human nature, incentives, and economics. Which excludes most Democrats.
“Healthcare law tax credits encourage small businesses to stay small, not hire…”
This brings the “gee, if only someone had mentioned this before…” meme to overflow.
As near as I can tell the Health Care bill does a great many things.
Unfortunately it does not address health care
Unfortunately it does not address health care
Neither does my doctor. People are forced, whether they want to or not, to become experts without training in their own health issues. Add to that people spreading false information and misdiagnosis. My wife was appalled when she came to this country because doctors took so little time to discuss or explain anything. Russian medicine may not always have the latest equipment available, but it’s a cash and carry system where the doctor becomes a partner with you. Not having experienced this myself, I can’t vouch for it. But I can clearly see how medicine in this country could use a little movement in that direction (even if only a fantasy in some minds.)
Not only is there often a lack of consensus in medicine, but often it is the minority that is correct. What’s a person with no inclination to learn medicine to do?
If you have no inclination to learn anything about your car, you spend more money getting it maintained. Same for people. Same for houses. Same for kids. Whatever. That’s the way the world goes ’round.
Only some people want to keep you from doing that because it isn’t fair.
I’m sorry but I’m convinced the purpose of the health care bill is to demonstrate that market-driven solutions don’t work, requiring, nay, compelling gummint to intervene in a high cost rescue mission. For our own good and with great reluctance, don’tcha know?
