This is pretty funny. I don’t watch the Morning Joe, but Mika made Joan Walsh look like an idiot. Not that that’s much of a challenge.
[Update a few minutes later]
It’s kind of inside baseball, but I’m assuming that the MSNBC suits have been telling Mika and Joe they’re not allowed to criticize Olbermann or Matthews. Hilarious.
I think they were thinking Ed Schultz, who is much, much, much, more a Limbaugh-of-the-Left than anyone else on MSNBC.
Two peas in a pod:

Bob-1,
There seems to be a whole industry called “politics as entertainment” that thrives on this kind of BS. It’s all about “us versus them” with us being the smart, cool kids, and them being the hateful evil people we can laugh at.
In a sense, Limbaugh (among others) invented the format, but now everyone does it. Some understand that it is just a game played to entertain people, but others take it and themselves much too seriously.
Ed Shultz is far more of a Limbaugh-of-the-left than Limbaugh actually is a Limbaugh-of-the-right. The Limbaugh-of-the-right is a caricature of the real Limbaugh. I’ll bet that much more of the country agrees with Rush than with Schultz.
There’s also the all to real possibility that like most liberals, she just doesn’t SEE anyone on the left that seems like Limbaugh, Hannity, et al. Remember the poll that was done last year (?), the MSM folks actually thought THEY were in the middle of the debate.
Joanie baby sees herself as the middle, but agrees with the lefty-Limbaughish people, and thus sees herself and her similarity to Olberman, Schultz and it’s the middle in her mind. So she just doesn’t see it. It’s not stupidity, it’s political blindness.
Hitler thought he was right too. Make that correct, Hitler thought he was correct in his thinking. He did NOT see himself as the RIGHT.
Or, did he?
Rand, considering the viewership numbers, that’s a sucker bet.
Phil Griffin sent a memo to prevent in-house criticism so they make oblique references to get around it. The irony of the news censoring itself is beyond parody.
…ineptly.
“…ineptly.”
That’s because Limbaugh (usually) does his homework. He (again, usually) knows what he is talking about.
Did it seem to you that Mika made Joan Walsh look the fool? Then clearly this is the sort of thing where we all bring our own frameworks. I’ve long thought Mika to be a brainless twit. Now I think she’s a nasty brainless twit.
“Now I think she’s a nasty brainless twit.”
Does that make Walsh a less nasty, more brainless twit?
