Interesting, but I will note that most of the sacrifices the Aztecs made were prisoners of war and slaves. Heck, the Aztecs went to war just to get prisoners to sacrifice! Taking prisoners was very prestigious. Also, the boys’ education centered around how to take war prisoners–not necessarily how to be killing machines. They had some other very enlightened ideas that weren’t mentioned, one of which was reusing human dung as fertilizer for their crops instead of polluting the city and waterways with it.
