The Shuttle must have just gone over Boca on its way to the Cape; I just heard two window-rattlers. They seemed farther apart than normal. Usually it’s boom-boom (at least it used to be in LA when on the way to Edwards). This one had almost a second delay between the two.

Either your posting time was off, the Shuttle glided for an *unusually* long time, or it was something else. The landing was at 10:48 a.m. It was probably the latter (since the 0.5 second spacing would mean the Shuttle had grown to 2,500 feet in length). Though I have to say, I’m starting to like the second Shuttle theory…
