It doesn’t look like 1930 here (at least yet), but it does most everywhere else. I hope, as noted there, that at least we’ve learned some lessons from the past over there, even if the current White House longs for a return to the Depression.

It looks like a big chunk of the downturn is concentrated in Europe. How is that possible? Europe is SO much more regulated than the US.
And yet, their banks / shadow banking system were SO much more leveraged than US ones.
PS: Why does the phrase “shadow banking” remind me of a Bee Gees song?
