  1. I’ve grown much less patient as of late with cowardly drive-by anonymous trolls. I’ve no obligation to let anyone comment here, let alone those whose only purpose is to anonymously insult the host, and apparently have zero to contribute to the discussion. Therefore, I’ve banned the creature that posted the above comment.

  2. If they can’t show any imagination in their screen name; how can they make a proper argument stick. My
local paper the Herald, had a soft ball interview wwith the director of “Stop Loss” were she states, that soldiers feel like they have blood on their hands (as opposed to in other wars); there’s no rrejoinder as to why that is. Pierce, who happens to be gay,and a former writer for the “L Zone” seems oblivious to the people who who would defend her, against those who would kill her, and then put it on Youtube, who what she is, and what subjects she writes about.

  3. Drudge linked a Hollywood story earlier today, URL http://www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/21-holds-winning-hand-at-box-office-superhero-is-superflop-stop-loss-doa/

Choice quote: “Friday’s No. 7 Stop-Loss fell a spot to 8th after it opened to only $1.7 million Friday and Saturday from a limited 1,291 plays. It eked out a $4.5M weekend. Although the drama from MTV Films was the best-reviewed movie opening this weekend, Paramount wasn’t expecting much because no Iraq war-themed movie has yet to perform at the box office. ‘It’s not looking good,’ a studio source told me before the weekend. ‘No one wants to see Iraq war movies. No matter what we put out there in terms of great cast or trailers, people were completely turned off. It’s a function of the marketplace not being ready to address this conflict in a dramatic way because the war itself is something that’s unresolved yet. It’s a shame because it’s a good movie that’s just ahead of its time.’ ”

If this quote is anywhere near accurate, it really evidences the total ignorance that Hollywood has of the mood of the country. “No matter what we put out there…”? I have no doubt that people would flock to a major motion picture that was pro-US and anti-terrorist. But Hollywood can’t get out of the mindset that evil men control Washington and are responsible for all the ills in the world….
