If everyone saw this, it would be much more politically popular.

For a bunch of snot-nosed, green, twenty-somethings, there sure is something wrong with their appearance. What’s in the water in DC?
The duration of DOGE appears to be during the 6-month continuing resolution just passed by Congress to allow Mike Johnson and his team to draft a new budget and pass it with the “one shot” reconciliation thingy that allows a simple majority–isn’t this how Nancy Pelosi passed the Affordable Care Act (Obama Care)? This is also why Mr. Trump wants to pass the budget and extension of the tax cuts in one go, and some of the hardcore House Republicans didn’t understand why.
The House Liberty Caucus Republicans tried to sink this. The “real action” comes with the new budget, but the actions of DOGE persuaded the Liberty Caucus “fire eaters” that President Trump was serious about spending reform. Rand Paul in the Senate offered some token resistance because I guess he is an Ayn Rand-styled hero or some such.
Speaking of Senator Paul, people question why the neighbor who tackled him, seriously maiming him, was treated lightly by the judge. The press reported the dumping of yard waste “on the property line”, which could have serious consequences to the neighbor’s property value through the legal principle of “adverse possession” and an ironic action for a property rights-defending US Senator to take. Someone attempting to claim one’s land in this manner is not an justification for committing battery, but the judge may have considered it a provocation. Furthermore, a grandstanding Rand Paul in political life may be a difficult and frustrating neighbor in his personal life.
Senate Democrats could have derailed this process by stopping the continuing resolution, shutting down the government, but I think Mr. Schumer picked up on the Trump Administration not letting a government shutdown going to waste, which would have initiated DOGE-in-hyperdrive through the dude they have at OMB?
Typical Dem voter: “It’s on fuck-snooze. An obvious lie. Deport Musk. Kill Trump.”
