  1. I worked for USN specifically on nuclear submarine repair and refit, so nothing surprises me. I’m covered by a strict national security NDA. You can get some idea by reading my novel “Acts of Conscience,” which is, of course, total fiction and utter nonsense.

  2. It is interesting, the media/propaganda tactics can be subtle but then once you seem them, you see them everywhere. When topical social media accounts use certain phrases and story architectures, is it because of the hive mind effect or is it because they are in on the effort?

I’ve never paid much attention to the Europeans but because of the wars, social media is flooded with them. I am not sure if they have always used American leftist style propaganda, if our leftists got it from them, or if it is a new phenomenon.

    From Grok:
“Noam Chomsky, along with Edward S. Herman, developed the concept of “manufacturing consent” in their 1988 book Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media. The theory argues that mass media in democratic societies serves as a propaganda tool for powerful elites—governments, corporations, and influential institutions—to shape public opinion and maintain control without overt coercion.

The result is a system where public consent is “manufactured” by subtly limiting debate, marginalizing alternative views, and presenting a skewed version of reality that supports the interests of the ruling class. Chomsky and Herman contrast this with the overt censorship of authoritarian regimes, arguing it’s a more insidious form of control suited to democracies.”
