Happy DJT Day!

Thoughts on the upcoming celebrations. I hadn’t thought about the parallels between Trump and King.

[Inauguration Day update]

Well, he didn’t pull any punches. Well, actually he did in the speech, but not afterward, because he could have talked about January 6th, but didn’t. He probably didn’t know about the pardons because Biden did them just before, or he might have.

I wonder if a pardon that doesn’t say what the pardon is for is valid? In any event, pardoning them won’t prevent an investigation into what really happened, and the truth coming out. And I doubt that the pardons will apply to perjury, and pardoned people who are subpoenaed won’t be able to plead the 5th, because they won’t be in legal jeopardy.

      1. Thanks David, See take my investment advice and you would have already doubled your wealth in a day. Just make so to hold it . It becomes the $Trump Strategic Reserve Coin.

      1. Not only is that not the ONLY way to celebrate the DJT day….it’s not even the best.

You’re right but the Matthew Livelsberger way is not for everyone.

  1. I heard something about a Harvard prof taking Dementia Joe’s delusion about the ERA seriously and my first thought was Larry “nutcase” Tribe.

    1. Far closer the ERA is the 28th amendment according to the constitution than right now and to the future that Tik Tok is legally operating with out an act from Congress or divestment.

    1. To quote Winston Churchill, my more pessimistic take is that is not the beginning of the end, rather, the end of the beginning.

There was today’s tranche of Executive Orders, which means there will be a flurry of court challenges to them. There is a long road ahead.

  2. We need an amendment to enumerate the President’s pardon powers. I don’t mind pardons (even ones that wipe the conviction) or commutations for the convicted. I have a real problem with preemptive pardons. We either have a justice system or we don’t.

  3. And I doubt that the pardons will apply to perjury, and pardoned people who are subpoenaed won’t be able to plead the 5th, because they won’t be in legal jeopardy.

You have to expect a massive case of amnesia is going to sweep across all members of the Brandon Administration. You won’t get answers, you’ll get a lot of “I don’t recall”.

Can’t picture members of the biased January 6th committee (to say nothing of their subordinate staff officers) being able to keep their story straight when questioned about among other things destruction of records contrary to the law and the rules of Congress. To say nothing of the idiosity of the Biden crime family; they will contradict each other up one side and down the other. None of them would hold up very well under brutal questioning by congressional committees and/or DOJ lawyers; they will turn on each other and eat each other.
