  1. Voters in solid red or blue states should definitely vote even though their vote “doesn’t matter”. A solid win in the popular vote will take a lot of the wind out of the sails of “The Resistance” and the efforts to abolish the Electoral College.

If there is still a “shy Trump voter” thing going on (which I don’t really believe, but if), this could easily turn into a true majority, which would be even better.

Don’t forget the “National Popular Vote”. I would be amusing to see those people rethink their support for ignoring their own state’s voters.

But I too figure there’s gonna be a lot of ballots counted in places where turnout is over 100%.

    1. Trump winning the popular vote would inevitably spell the near-instantaneous end for the NPV compact. The nanosecond people in California realize they could be forced to have their Electoral College votes go to a Republican they’ll bury and then pretend it never even existed.

      1. If Trump Wins the Popular Vote…

He suggests that some states sign on between the end of Election Season (aka Election Day) and the day the votes in the Electoral College are cast, so as to force the issue. Betcha lawsuits to invalidate the whole thing would have no problem with “standing”.

  3. I hope that we don’t have another divergence between popular vote and electoral vote. If Trump wins that way, it’ll boost the Democrats’ anti electoral college movement.

And if Harris wins the EC but loses the popular vote, it’ll sour a lot of Republicans on the electoral college, also thus boosting the movement against it.

My guess? Trump winning both the EV and the popular vote would be good. However, it’s a very steep hill to climb, because of California, where they even legalized voter fraud (Ballot harvesting). And that, BTW, is a huge part of why we need to preserve the Electoral College.

  4. “And that, BTW, is a huge part of why we need to preserve the Electoral College.”

Yes. The framers were wise; it is much more difficult to use “ballot harvesting” to game the national vote. You would need to do it in battleground states all over the country. And each state has its own rules about how elections are run in said state. They (the liberal leftist progressives) would need to “federalize/nationalize” all the election rules to pull that off. Don’t think Trump has much of a shot at winning the national vote not with California’s as you say “legalized voter fraud”. I believe that at one point Trump said something about using a kind of “ballot harvesting” using conservative churches as the gathering point for the ballots. Don’t know what came of that, haven’t heard anything about it for months.

    1. “Conservative Christians were skeptical of mail-in ballots. Now they are gathering them in churches”

      “Dramatic Change of Course
Conservative voters who have been skeptical of mail voting and ballot gathering – a strategy often used by Democrats – are now warming up to it. Evangelical Christians, in particular, are embracing it this year.

Leading conservative figures Charlie Kirk and Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump have called on Christians and conservatives to collect ballots. Megachurches like Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in Southern California are leading the charge, urging – even training – congregations to collect ballots. They praise it as a valuable tool to raise voter turnout and elect candidates who align with their views on issues such as abortion, transgender rights and immigration.

Robert Tyler, a California-based attorney who represents conservative churches and pastors, said he still believes “ballot harvesting and universal vote by mail creates opportunities for fraud.”

“But the rules of the game have changed,” he said. “Until the law changes, we have to get out and gather ballots like they are doing.”

Let’s hope it succeeds…probably not enough to “flip” California red but it might significantly reduce the illegal alien dem caused voting bump. Who knows? Maybe the popular vote is possibly winnable by Trump.
