Kamala’s Black Knight interview was just a flesh wound.

[Update late morning]
What the transcript tells us about the interview.
My only complaint about Bret’s performance is that he didn’t follow up on her statements that “I will follow the law,” with “but would you try to change the law to conform with your stated positions?”
[Update a few minutes later]
It was a train wreck.

Who will the Dems replace Kamala with?
Too late.
I don’t listen to politicians speak anymore. I quit sometime during W’s administration. They say whatever, and it won’t matter moments later. I simply judge action. So, I skip these interviews, press briefings (although can’t skip what Harris won’t put out), and debates. That’s to say I expect a politician to lie, obfuscate, and misdirect.
I do sometimes read transcripts and watch a portion for tone. That clip by Clay Travis. Wow. I have no idea what she meant by it. If I had to guess, she seems to insinuate that 79% people believe we are on the wrong track simply because Trump is still able to campaign. There’s nothing good to come of that notion, so I can only presume to mean something else. Most politicians would have just come up with their own polls, blamed it on the states and governors, or something other than blaming their challenger who has had no power over the last 3 years.
In all due fairness to Kamala Harris, regarding having no idea what she meant on that issue, I think she successfully conveyed that you’re not alone; she had no idea what she meant either. 🙂
So Brett Baier asks, “at what point did you notice that President Biden was losing his faculties” to which Kamala Harris responds, “Joe Biden isn’t on the ballot, Donald Trump is on the ballot.”
Ms. Harris not noticing or not wanting to notice Mr. Biden’s condition speaks, let’s say, to the degree of transparency or lack thereof we can expect from a Harris/Walz Administration. But all of the people here in my ‘hood with the Harris/Walz signs are thinking that Vice President Harris gave a brilliantly crafted response to whom they regard as a hostile Fox News interviewer in Mr. Baier.
What I am saying is that partisans on Ms. Harris’ side will make every excuse for the interview, partisans on Mr. Trump’s side will point out all the flaws in the answers to interview questions, and people to whom all of this is “inside baseball” won’t have an opinion one way or another.
To refer to a turn-of-phrase in Tom Wolfe’s The Right Stuff,
her four aides who were frantically making “washout” hand signs trying to end the interview because she was having relations with a canine, but even these aides aren’t realizing that the Harris campaign is all about feelings and that the no one cares whether the proverbial dog remains morally pure.
The logical contradiction in this answer is if the 79% of people who answered “wrong track” did so because Donald Trump is allowed to be on the ballot, they have the simple remedy of voting for Kamala Harris, and problem solved, Ms. Harris wins in a blow-out landslide.
But logical proof-by-contradiction wasn’t supposed to be on the test?
I presume their theory would be that the country is on the wrong track because the government does not have the power simply to remove Trump. Yikes.
She was just saying vote for her to turn the page on the Trump era. This is his last shot. Not sure why she isn’t more direct about that appeal as her entire campaign is just anti Trump emotion
There had been rumors that Harris would appear on Joe Rogan’s podcast. No way that will ever happen. Trump would be happy to do so, and would dominate it.
Rogan did a mocking tweet about her the other day. She will not go on the show now lol
Scott Adams made a remark a few days ago which resonated with me like the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in a hurricane: he can’t form a picture in his mind of the United States after this election, no matter what the result is.
I expect Trump to receive more votes than any other presidential candidate in United States history.- the same as he did in 2020. And just like 2020, his opponenent will the next day have received even more votes. What happens next is anyone’s guess.
I was avoiding clicking on the video because I thought the woman was a blogger or a reporter who was going to show clips of the Whitaker-Harris interview, and I don’t want to see any more clips of of it, whether from a Left or a Right-wing perspective.
The woman in the video is doing a parody of the interview where she alternates between a soft-spoken but persistent Bill Whitaker and a loud and entitled Kamala Harris.
If you haven’t watched the video, go ahead and click. It is the funniest piece of political satire I have seen in decades.
