  1. Unless the commissioners can be sued directly, the result won’t matter. They accomplished what they wanted and with taxpayer dollars. Some might say Californians did this to themselves by electing these types of people but sitting aside they were appointed; the fact that they are using their governmental position to censor and quell adversarial speech suggests they’ll do other things to retain power. They’ll retain that power regardless of the will of the voters.

  2. If Trump was what the left often claims he is, he could declare the entire California coast to be a protected coastal ecosystem and ban all wheeled or artificially powered vehicles, up to say fifty miles inland.

Democrats have been wildly abusing that particular unchecked executive power for political purposes, and somehow a strong case needs to get the Supreme Court, as it harkens back to King George III’s worst abuses and treats America like the President’s personal property, to dispose of as he wishes.

  3. My understanding is their decision is not binding on Space Force and DOD can tell them to get bent and do what they want anyways.

    1. For DoD and other national defense launches, the CCC has no say whatsoever. But a lot of commercial launches, especially of Starlink, need to go from VASFB (having spent years of my early career there, it’s weird to change the acronym to that). Elon is under attack by all governments on Earth, simultaneously.

The EU has issued a statement that it will base fines on “unallowable” X posts not on X’s revenue, but on the value of all of Elon’s companies. Scott Adams had the best immediate take on that of anyone: the European Union just declared war on the United States of America. He’s absolutely right.

      1. Yes, Trump should declare such an action a trade violation and threaten tariffs. I’m sure Germany would love it some tariffs on its industries right now with its super-healthy economy and all.

        1. Remember to hit Belgium and France at the same time! I have always felt that the EEC had a certain logic, but …the EU is the New Carolinian Empire in disguise.

      2. Duh, youse guys, ya have a really nice alliance in that NATO thing. Be a shame if duh, ya know, somethin bad happened to it.
