It does seem to be a healthy beverage. It’s too bad that it tastes so awful.
“Research has found that people who drink four or more cups a day are 53 percent less likely to commit suicide.”
If I had to drink four or more cups a day, I’d be much more likely to contemplate suicide (which is something that I never do).
My daily habit is to fill up an insulated driving cup with three pods worth of coffee. I normally have that finished off by noon, and then drink water almost exclusively afterwards.
I suppose I can pop one more pod a day. Fortunately I do enjoy coffee for the taste.
And I really appreciate not being in prison for life, which Coffee helps me attain.
Same except only 2 pods in my thermos. But then I often have a cold coffee at night.
Well, I drink lots of coffee, and will even drink bad tasting coffee, but there seems to a lot bad tasting coffee, out there. And there is some coffee, which I can’t drink.
I don’t think there is a strong coffee, I don’t like.
Cold brew concentrate in a glass of milk or cream might make coffee more tolerable for those who dislike it.
I’d probably become suicidal without coffee. But I’d probably not follow through, don’t have enough energy without my coffee.
I’ll make an admission that’s probably anathema to most coffee drinkers here… I drink only decaf. I drink it for the taste, not the kick. I became borderline addicted to caffeine several years ago and had to cut it out completely. Or nearly so, I do have the occasional caffeine drink.
On active duty I measured my intake in pots per day. Now, at 67 I might have 3 cups/day, at most.
I drink one 12oz mug a day. I’d drink more but the coffee I like is too expensive. Instead of wasting time and money on Ukraine and Taiwan, I think the US should declare war on Ethiopia in order to guarantee the independence of Sidama.
Coffee is like cacao. Enough fat and sugar and it’s delicious.
